The Cycle Frontier

The Cycle: Frontier is a free-to-play PvPvE Extraction Shooter driven by suspense and danger. Prospect for resources and other riches on an abandoned alien world ravaged by a deadly storm, inhabited by monsters and other ambitious Prospectors.

The game was the work of many people closely collaborating and I’m truly proud of what the team was able to acomplish. These are some of the things I worked on during the games development.

FPS Combat

Collaborating with animators/artists/designers to make the cycle frontier combat feel polished and amazing for the player

MOvement Abilties

Extending and adjusting the unreal character movement system to allow player to climb walls, vault, slide etc.

Inventory System

Working on the core inventory and item management system of our game that is robust and secure while keeping inventory management snappy for the player

AI

Working on the howler which was the set piece of the final season of the cycle.

ANTI-CHEAT

Creating detection systems that can be tuned at runtime to auto ban cheaters as well as integrate third party anti-cheat system such as BattlEye

PERFORMANCE

Driving the performance topic on the cycle making sure we hit a certain quality level for our releases
